Mac App Store Screenshot Checklist

Screenshots for Compose Booster Mac App Store submission.

Screenshot Requirements

Mac App Store Sizes

  • Minimum: 1280 x 800 pixels
  • Maximum: 2880 x 1800 pixels
  • Recommended: Match your app's native resolution

How to Capture

  1. Open the app by double-clicking Compose Booster.app in Finder
  2. Use Cmd+Shift+4, then press Space to enter window capture mode
  3. Click on the window to capture
  4. Screenshots save to Desktop by default - move to assets/store/screenshots/mac/

Screenshots to Capture

1. Main Window - Light Theme

  • Filename: 01-main-light.png
  • Setup:
    • Set theme to Light (View → Light Mode or Cmd+D to toggle)
    • Paste sample input text in left panel
    • Paste sample output text in right panel
    • Ensure window is nicely sized (recommended: ~1200x800)

I wanted to follow up on our meeting last week. I think we should move forward with the project but I'm not sure about the timeline. Can we discuss? Also the budget might be an issue.

2. Main Window - Dark Theme

  • Filename: 02-main-dark.png
  • Setup:
    • Set theme to Dark (View → Dark Mode or Cmd+D to toggle)
    • Keep the same sample content as screenshot 1
    • Same window size

3. Settings - General Tab

  • Filename: 03-settings-general.png
  • Setup:
    • Open Settings (Cmd+,)
    • Select "General" tab
    • Set to Light theme for consistency
    • Show the theme and font size options

4. Settings - Models Tab

  • Filename: 04-settings-models.png
  • Setup:
    • Open Settings (Cmd+,)
    • Select "Models" tab
    • Show the AI model selection interface

5. Settings - Quick Actions Tab (Optional)

  • Filename: 05-settings-quickactions.png
  • Setup:
    • Open Settings (Cmd+,)
    • Select "Quick Actions" tab
    • Show keyboard shortcut customization

Output Location

Save all screenshots to:

assets/store/screenshots/mac/

Final Checklist

  • All screenshots captured at consistent window size
  • Light theme screenshots show clean, professional appearance
  • Dark theme screenshot demonstrates the feature
  • No personal/sensitive information visible
  • API key field is empty or shows placeholder
  • Screenshots are PNG format
  • File naming follows convention (01-, 02-, etc.)

Notes

  • Mac App Store accepts 1-10 screenshots per localization
  • First screenshot is most important (shown in search results)
  • Consider capturing at Retina resolution (2x) for best quality
  • Screenshots should highlight key features: AI assistance, themes, customization
