Adding Observability to the Bootcamp #663
Description
Observability, particularly with OpenTelemetry, has and will continue to grow into a critical part of both our internal systems and our service offerings. As such, I think that we should absolutely get a relatively comprehensive section of the bootcamp developed so that apprentices can gain proficiency in skills such as:
- Instrumenting code to emit meaningful telemetry using semantic conventions
- Configuring and running OTEL collectors for an application to export telemetry to a backend
- Creating efficient and insightful analyses and visualizations via data storage backend
