Documentation Request: benchmark comparison

Hey all,

this is a super interesting project! Have you by any chance done any benchmark comparisons with the original python implementation of UMAP? Various sizes, with/without GPU support in python etc.? This would be really educative for potential integration of this code

I vaguely remember benchmarking against the uwot package, as this was where I took all the C++ code from. Performance was around about the same IIRC, maybe a little slower because uwot uses PCG32, which is faster than std::mt19937_64 for random number generation. I also recall uwot's benchmarks putting it at around about the same performance as the original Python implementation, depending on how approximate you want to be.

I don't have a dedicated GPU on my work machine so I wouldn't know anything about that.
