Firefox/Librewolf cookie and history setting not persistent

I turned on the setting to delete cookies and history when Firefox/Librewolf closes. After I closed the browser and restart it, the cookies and history were deleted. But the setting to delete cookies/history on close somehow reverted to the default off state. This does not happen in the main Firefox/Librewolf browser. Only happen within Webapp. Is this by design, or is something amiss?

Same for me.
Firefox setting like 'open link in new tab' always revert to the original.
Also bookmarked pages just disappeared again after restarting the webapp a few times.
