Why does Textual Image on Wezterm not support TGP/KIP?

I don't see why Textual Image renders TGP/KIP incorrectly on Wezterm, when existing apps like yazi and presenterm are able to make use of it. Is there something different as to how Wezterm handles the protocol or something?

It seems like TGP's unicode placeholders (which are the way textual-image renders the image) are not supported in WezTerm. At least it looks a lot like it, with all the invalid unicode printed.

I know this doesn't support the iTerm2 Inline Image protocol yet. If the images are transparent, is it using the older Kitty Graphics Protocol?

As in the checkbox list in this issues "placeholder support, which might enable support to function in tmux" isn't implemented. That's what's textual-image is using.

I see. I noted that the image does actually appear if you use TGP, it's just offset above the actual unicode placeholder, and it freezes wezterm for quite a while.
