Can't see Canvas Editor

I just recently installed the plugin but when I double click on the .canvas file in VS Code, I open the file editor instead.

Are there missing settings I need to configure?

I'm having the same issue.
I'm using vscode 1.109.2

I worked it out:

• open the .canvas file
• right-click the tab with the file name
• select Reopen Editor With...

• at the bottom select Configure default editor for '*.canvas'

• choose Infinite Canvas
