I am submitting a consolidated list of feature enhancement requests discovered while using One Commander V4.
-
Windows alternative calendar support - Add a setting to explicitly select from alternative regional calendars installed in Windows (e.g., Persian, Hijri, Hebrew) for file timestamp displays.
-
Visual line separators in Favorite Groups - Implement horizontal separator lines inside favorite groups. This will allow users to merge multiple favorite collections into a single organized list.
-
Expanded tab context menu actions - Replace the Reopen closed tab option with a Reopen recent tab history submenu.
-
Setting toggle for Ctrl + Tab switching behavior (Sequential vs. MRU) - Add an option in the application settings that allows users to choose how Ctrl + Tab switches between tabs. Available Options are:
- Sequential (Default): Cycles through the tabs in their visual left-to-right list order.
- MRU (Most Recently Used): Cycles through tabs based on their historical usage order (Z-order history), matching the default behavior of VS Code and web browsers.

Opening an archive file in One Commander asks for opening or extracting the file which is perfect. However, when multiple archive files are selected and opened via the right-click menu, they all open simultaneously instead of presenting batch processing options. One Commander would benefit from a robust handling workflow similar to Windows File Explorer's right-click-and-drag extraction menu, or a dynamic contextual toolbar icon.

Proposed Solution / Enhancement:
- Right-click-and-drag Support: Allow users to select multiple archives, drag them using the right-mouse button, and receive a dedicated menu with varied extraction choices (e.g., Extract each to separate folders, Extract here, etc). Regardless of the file type, include all standard file operations currently triggered by Alt-dragging in One Commander directly inside this right-click context menu.
- Contextual Toolbar Button: Implement a dynamic toolbar icon that automatically activates whenever one or more archive files are highlighted, offering comprehensive batch extraction workflows.
-
Enhanced log window and add more details:
- Add full calendar dates alongside log timestamps.
- Allow users to click directly on a log line to instantly copy its text message to the clipboard.
- Include the name of the execution program/source that launched the operation.
-
Settings window font scaling - The font size in the Settings UI is currently too small. Please add an option to adjust it manually, or make it automatically match the primary application font size scale.
-
Integrated WSL drives panel - Automatically detect active WSL distributions and list them as dedicated, quick-access icons within the main Drives panel.
