Volt Driver distortion effect seems to be broken

Been playing on the main release of MelonDS for most of the game before discovering melonPrimeDS and played the rest (which I just want to say, the latest release of melonPrime is amazing and exactly what this game needed). While the Volt Driver distortion effect works fine in MelonDS, in melonPrime the screen just kind of shifts around slightly and isn't even noticeable most of the time.

Just to check, does this happen in both Software Renderer and OGL mode?

In original melonDS it works correctly in software renderer, and OGL mode with upscaling and some other QOL options enabled.

In melonPrimeDS it works correctly in software renderer, but does not work in OGL mode no matter what combination of other options are enabled/disabled.
