[Feature or Collab Request] Discord chat bot for requests

Like most users (I presume), I would love a way for my Discord members to make requests for missing media via a chat bot. Requestrr solves most of this, but is missing support for Books & Audiobooks.

I have suggested they work with you to solve half of this dilemma as I know someone who has already created a Discord bot to handle books (privately) that could potentially solve the other half, making Requestrr a one-stop-shop for media requests, amplifying both theirs and your member usage.

Would either of these be possible for you??

Sounds like a cool integration!

With the upcoming 1.9.0 version there's now an API covering the full functionality of ABR.

As an example, you can create an API key and then

1. search with GET /api/search?q=<query>
2. Add a request with POST /api/requests/<asin>
3. Have ABR try to auto-download with POST /api/requests/<asin>/auto-download

If you enable the OpenAPI docs for your instance you can view these endpoints more clearly when visiting the /docs path.

If anybody wants to implement this in Requestrr, the stage is all yours and I'm happy to help here and there. I currently don't have the capacity to spearhead the changes on Requestrr myself though.
