[Feature]: Enable preview mode on click, regardless of the current extension

What feature would you like to see?

Enable preview mode on click (on widget and/or in alt/context menu), just regardless of the current extension

Why is this needed?

It will be very useful when viewing files like llm.txt (currently I have to save them in .md and open the local version, which is a bit weird and inconvenient)

@sinitsa I've reviewed and confirmed to support this!

The new feature Render .txt as Markdown will treat .txt files as Markdown automatically. Will be available in v2.1.0. I'll update this issue once the release is out next week.

This feature is now available in v2.1.0! 🎉

Render .txt as Markdown is enabled by default. You can check or toggle it via Quick Settings (Ctrl+Shift+K / Cmd+Shift+K on macOS).

Here's what's included:

• Local folders: .txt files are now listed when you open a folder, and will appear in the Folder Sidebar. A file type filter has also been added to the Sidebar header.
• External links: Opening a .txt URL with the extension enabled will automatically render the content as Markdown, same as how .md files are handled.

You can quickly test it by opening these links after updating to the latest version:
