What am I doing wrong seems others have the same problem but no solution

You need to.enable integrations first

Enable AI
Then you need to choose provider, if privacy is a priority and you need free model then openrouter.ai/ is the best option
Go to there register that's very simple and click "get api key" button then "create" give it any name which comes to your mind or evwb a random character and click create, copy the key
Go to the integrations -> enable "AI" and paste API key
As for the model, I checked nearly all available for free "z-ai/glm-4.5-air:free" works great and enable tools feature
Save it and you will have the assistant
