Question about third-party extension store mirrors and CRX safety

Hi everyone,

I recently came across what looks like a third-party mirror/replica of the official extension store: https://chrome.marketplace.browsertotal.com/. I'm not sure whether this is an officially endorsed source, or just an independent mirror created by a security vendor.

Wether will it okay if someone create the same for edge store?

As an enthusiastic user who relies a lot on extensions, I'm trying to understand whether it's safe to download CRX files from such site. Specifically:

• Do you (as the main vendor/maintainers) take any steps to ensure that CRXs served through such mirrors are authentic and untampered?
• Is this mirror something you recognize or recommend, or should users avoid installing CRXs from there?
• Are there any recommended ways for users to verify CRX integrity when downloading outside the official store?

Just trying to make sure I'm not putting myself (or others) at risk by using an unofficial source.
