`signin/failure` invoke fails silently

signin/failure invokes fail silently in Teams. The user and developer do not have easy ways to determine the OAuth/SSO failure.

I’m currently encountering the same problem while implementing SSO/OAuth. When the sign-in card is not sent to the user and the sign-in does not complete, there is no visible information or error in the logs, which makes it difficult to diagnose.

were you able to find any workaround to surface or log SSO/OAuth failures so they can be observed during debugging? @corinagum

@twoimg Unfortunately there isn't a clean workaround in the current released version of the C# SDK — signin/failure invoke activities can't be deserialized yet, so they're silently dropped before they reach any handler. Hopefully we can get these changes merged in soon, and I will discuss with the team the possibility of doing a public preview release of these changes. Preview publishes wouldn't be recommended for production, but at the very least would help with debugging.

@twoimg we've just done a public preview release for all three languages that includes the sign-in failure invoke handling. Feel free to give it a try.
