Description
Please confirm these before moving forward
- I have searched for my issue and not found a work-in-progress/duplicate/resolved issue.
- I have not been informed if the issue is resolved in a preview version of the winget client.
Category of the issue
Installation issue.
Brief description of your issue
for the past few days Google.ChromeRemoteDesktopHost stable version 143.0.7499.7 keeps getting "upgraded" by winget to version 144.0.7559.13 which is (or seems to be) a beta version...
and after a few hours the Google Updater automatically rolls back the beta to the latest stable version... and then WinGet helpfully "upgrades" the stable version again to the beta one
rinse and repeat...ad nauseam....
Steps to reproduce
- upgrade Chrome Remote Desktop Host with winget
- wait a few hours and a few OS reboots, so that Google Updater has time to scan and auto-update Chrome Remote Desktop Host
- check in console the available updates from WinGet... find that Chrome Remote Desktop Host is again at version 143
Actual behavior
winget upgrades the stable version to the beta testing version
Expected behavior
do not install beta versions
Environment
environment not relevant - this is a package manifest issue
