need to clear the cache of device

Hello,
sometimes, I can say 1 on 10 times, happens that the connection to a specific file shared does not work to the end and I need to clear the cache of the device.
I've noticed on android 13 devices, Oneplus 8T and Samsung S20, with F-Droid apk version 3.3, using files on pad.riseup.net
Does anybody know how to solve?

Hi,

While this might have something to do with the app itself, the browsing cache belongs to the System WebView. I would suggest trying and update on the OS first. On my side I could try to upgrade the libraries to see if it has something to do with it. An extra feature would be having a clear cache button for these cases.

When you say it does not work, what exactly appears on screen? Blank? Error?

Hello and thank you for your reply.
When I say "it does not work" I mean the screen lasts in "loading/connecting" for ever.
I need to clear the cache to let it connect properly.

As I've said, it happens 1 on 10 times. Nothing else to suggest for the moment: everything works well.

For details about replicating the issue:

• Does it happen when it's a new document or a previously created one? Or both?
• Any information about another provider also having this problem?

These questions raise from the possibility that it could be a problem in pad.riseup.net and not the app or the OS.

Hello,

1. it happens on already creted documents only (during opening/accessing)
2. it happens on pad.riseup.net

Note that I hardly ever create new documents and I always use pad.riseup.net.
I'll start using other pad, just to test this behaviour.
It seems version 3.3 (30) Fdroid works better than previous one on this point.

There's a new version with some internal libraries update, let me know if this issue happens again.
