Subject of the Issue
When trying to connect to a RAS server on a Windows Mobile 5 device (HTC TyTn/Hermes), depending on the client version it either says An unknown communications error occurred (for 2.0) or ERROR: Category:4, Code:1, Subcode:0, URL: (for 1.0.990) and is unable to pull the buddy list. The server also doesn't output anything other than accepted connection at the debug level.
Deployment Environment
- Retro AIM Server Version: 0.17.0
- Installation Method: Pre-built Raspberry Pi package
- Client(s) Used: AOL Instant Messenger 1.0.990 ARM & 2.0 ARM
Steps to Reproduce
- Download and install AIM 1.0.990 and 2.0 from the NINA wiki (note: 2.0's installer is a normal Windows executable, and 1.0.990 will have trouble fitting on a 240x320 display)
- Go into the setup menu and type in the server's IP/domain (on 2.0, you have to do something that will log on to the server, for example by clicking on Stock Quotes or going into Instant Message and send something)
Expected Behavior
Client connects, grabs buddy list and allows sending IMs to other users.
Actual Behavior
Client errors, gets no data and is unable to send IMs.
Troubleshooting Data
Packet capture of AIM connecting to RAS server
