ERROR: normal constraint on the stem of the root

Hi,
snapp_prep runs without problems when using a normal constraint on the crown:
normal(0.2,4.2,1) crown alt,pal,sja
however, when a stem constraint is used:
normal(0.2,4.2,1) stem alt,pal,sja
the following error is returned: ERROR: It seems that a normal constraint should be placed on the stem of the root of the phylogeny!

Could you help me, please?

Hi,
this error message should only pop up when the constraint is on the root of the phylogeny – is that right? In that case, constraining the stem does not make sense as the stem age of the root is not part of the phylogeny that you estimate.
