There is content in the fcp and ffs directory in form of directories and empty files. However, nothing is implemented. As the exact content of the sub-protocols is still in flow, these directories should be empty (Apart from possibly some draft idea in the README.md)

I disagree. Preserving the structure prevents drift when the time comes to implement. Throwing unimplemented!() is sufficient.

I dont understand how having content in a non implemented protocol preserves the structure. it seems counterproductive to preventing drift.

For example, there is already drift with pcp as i try to catch up with that folder. What would happen if there is another protocol - more drifts. So it don't understand how having files and folders in an otherwise empty protocol, would help against drift.

@l-monninger i still dont understand why we need the fcp or ffs folder at this point. Any protocol that is not currently being implemented should not have a folder. Like why should i provide a folder pcp2, pcp3 and so forth at this point.
