Suggestion - use mod to control VLC player (for e.g. podcasts) #27
Description
Apparently the mod can't play podcasts from typical URLs. So I was thinking that if the mod could tap into VLC - which originally was a streaming player - to play media that isn't compatible?
I guess technically it's doable, the question probably is, if you'd be interested to add the functionality. You said in the mod description, that limitations for file types come from the game's engine so I'd assume that reading and playing podcast URLs isn't possible - so VLC could be the solution to play them all.
Actually I've set up my VLC player so I can either listen to my favorite radio stations (mostly */stream.mp3 URLs) and the podcasts I'm interested in, but being able to listen to even podcasts while C:S - controlled from within the game - would be great!
