Feature Request: Book Professional Nurse for Scheduled Assistance

Description

Currently, Helpore allows users to request volunteers for various tasks. We propose adding a feature that enables users to book professional nurses for assistance, especially for disabled individuals or people with health-related needs.

The goal is to let users schedule nurse assistance for a specified date and time and request specific types of help (e.g., general care, medication support, physiotherapy).

Proposed Workflow

• Users can create a nurse booking request.

• Specify date, time, and type of assistance needed.

• Optional notes for special requirements.

• Admin/Volunteers view these requests in the existing volunteer assignment section.

• Professional nurses are listed alongside volunteers for assignment.

• Admin/Volunteers assign an appropriate nurse to fulfill the request.

• Users receive confirmation once a nurse is assigned.

Notes

• Nurses can initially be managed like volunteers; a separate nurse role is not required at this stage.
• This approach simplifies the workflow and keeps the system consistent with existing volunteer assignments.
• If nurse-specific features (availability, schedules, notifications) are needed later, a dedicated nurse role can be introduced.
