Fan stops in hold mode

Describe the bug
During Hold mode the fan stops, in UI and in real, the auger is continue to work normal, this end up in a full burn pot.

Expected behavior
Fan should be continues on when working in hold mode.

PiFire Version:

• Version [e.g. 1.10.5]

Additional context
Occurs since updates from end of 2025. Now I had time to reinstall the software but behavior continues.
Is this relates to the energy saving update?

Yes, standard PID controller. I briefly worked on trying to reproduce this over last weekend and unfortunately ran out of time due to some other priorities. Can you share some of your logs with me? Do you have smoke-plus enabled? Or lid-open detection enabled?

Hi,Really appreciate your effort in this project.Smoke plus is disabled but I also tried it with enabled mode, no difference.I have also disabled the lid open detection.It is easy to reproduce when the hold temperature is set lower than the actual one. Looks like when temperature is reached the fan goes off for a long cycle and the auger is working normal.Find attached the log files. I'm seeing errors in reading the ADS1115 and I'm not quite sure why. Also seeing some errors in your event log reading the hopper distance sensor. It is possible I2C is intermittently failing. Not sure why that would be happening. And I'm not sure why that would affect your fan.

Regardless, can you enable debug mode when you are running normally? Clear all your logs (see admin page), then enable debug, and do a test run to see what happens. Debug mode should show me if it's logic that is turning the fan off for some reason.

Once you've collected logs with failing scenario, send that over to me.
