Compatibility with the *B* DS12B887 vs DS12885S possible?

What should i do if i premade this with a Dallas DS12885S and the primary empty dallas is a DS12B887 ?
if i just put it in, it wont start it just stops with bios code 7 testing for battery :/

tried to read earlyer and see howto, but seems i need expert advise.
or du i need to order/build another one using different ic.

Dallas DS12885S should work just as fine. If it doesn't work for you, you should double check the solder joints. If everything looks good, may be your chip is defective or fake. Currently you get a lot of fakes from China unfortunately.

will try that, build a few so can try another.. i had one who worked so maybe solder joints or chip is just bad.. thanks for insane quick response time :)
