[Bug]: Nextcloud Desktop for Linux hasn't worked since 4.0.5

Bug description

The app published by Nextcloud has been broken for 3 weeks now.

I can confirm that both 4.0.5 and 4.0.6 are completely broken on Ubuntu 24.04 (X11). Trying to run 4.0.5 produces the following:

./Nextcloud-4.0.5-x86_64.AppImage: symbol lookup error: /tmp/.mount_NextclpMpFCL/usr/bin/../lib/libgobject-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_string_copy

Running 4.0.6 produces this:

nextcloud.gui.application: Migrating old config from "/home/***/.local/share/Nextcloud" to "/home/***/.config/Nextcloud"
nextcloud.gui.application: Failed to move the old config directory to its new location ( "/home/***/.local/share/Nextcloud" to "/home/***/.config/Nextcloud" )
nextcloud.gui.application: Will move the individual files QList("***_sync.log")
nextcloud.gui.application: Fallback move of  "***_sync.log" also failed
XIO:  fatal IO error 1 (Operation not permitted) on X server ":1"
      after 452 requests (452 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

...

These [heap] messages continue indefinitely with consecutive numbers.
The last working version is 4.0.4

The Flatpak version 4.0.6 works fine but it is marked as potentially unsecure. So I don't dare to use it. A comment of a developer about the flatpak version would be welcome.
