Copy to Addressbook not working

i can see the ldap search and it works with the Admin account but when i do it with an other user then appers a website with "The user must be a Administrator "

What can i do? any ideas?

we want to use it but we cant

i had checkt it with normal user (not ldap user)
and with with an other bind
but it works only with admin rights in nextcloud

Why would I? I'm not affiliated with the app, just sending the version bump in an half automated way to 70+ repositories

@mellow2012 which versions are you using (NC and app), can you provide server logs, please also check the browser console for errors. A quick screen capture would also be handy.

403 claims some permission/access issue, but I never could reproduce this.

I also have problem with copying to the address book. When I press the button, I get an error message and in the log I can see the following error:

Could not complete search with dn "CN=Test User,OU=EXT,OU=My-Users,DC=int,DC=example,DC=com", query "" and filters "*". LDAP error was [-1] Can't contact LDAP server.

I think, the connection to LDAP must be working, because it successfully loads the contact list. Any ideas?

@klasyc Smells like a configuration issue, it definitely is different to the original bug report. Please double check your configuration and nextcloud.log, and open a new issue with details on versions, configuration and logs if you cannot resolve it.

Can confirm this is still an issue under Nextcloud 32.0.1 over 2 years later.

For me LDAP connectivity works fine for both admins and users. In both cases, LDAP contacts are listed in the dropdown (the one pictured in the README.md for the project), but only admins can then add those users to their personal contacts. Ordinary users are blocked with ‘Access denied Logged in account must be an admin’. No errors are logged in nextcloud.log
