Stop button does not work

Bug Report

The stop button in the chat view does not stop the current response generation.

Expected

Clicking stop cancels the in-progress response.

Actual

The stop button has no effect — the response continues streaming to completion.

Steps to reproduce

1. Send a message that generates a long response
2. Click the stop button while the response is streaming
3. Response continues uninterrupted
