Unable to connect MagPro R30

Hello,

I am trying to use MAGIC to control a Magpro R30, but when I initialise the connection, I have this message

I am using a serial-to-USB adapter, and it looks like all drivers are installed. I also checked that the COM port is the number 3. I tried the command using both trigger or COM2 port, but I have the same issue. I am not sure why I have this error?

Hi Fabio,

Are you on Mac or windows? Which matlab version are you using?

Can you pleasw try COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9 till COM20 and let us know the results?

Thank you for your quick reply.

I am using a Windows 10 machine, with matlab R2022a.

I just tried all the COM ports commands, and I still have the same message. I tried with both connections to trigger port or COM 2 port On the Magpro. In fact I also wanted to ask you aabotu the wiring. Is the connection between the laptop and the trigger port on magpro enough? I saw online some people who also add the COM2 port.

Hi Fabio,

Can you open the device mnager and try to see the com port address of your cable? Is the COM2 contrlol of the stimulator activated from its service page?

I hope you are connecting to the COM2 at the back of stimulator too?

BTW I noticed a space in the argument - can you remove the space like this magventure('COM3')
