failed to talk to bootloader

Issue details

At point #5 "Click Options -> Update Firmware. Select the Character_Updater_FW.hex file from the "FW_+_Char" folder." i have as output a popup that says "failed to talk to bootloader".

How "canonical" OSD firmware works?

[x ] Works fine, i guess. i can upload the MWOSD 1.6 and i see something that's close to the configured screen. Not tuned.

If it could help somebody:
Flash bootloader with Arduino and USBasp: select board Arduino Pro or Arduino Pro mini, select processor ATMega 328P, select programmer USBasp, connect (miso is the rectangular pin) and burn bootloader. Reference
