cannot log into cync

I was able to install the HACS plugin and restarted HA. When I try to add the 'Integration', I get the login prompt, I put in my Cync login and password. Cync sends a 2 factor auth code to my email. HA then asks for the 2fa code and I type it in. Every time I get: "Invalid Cync user credentials or two factor code"
This instance of HA is running on a RPi4 if that is useful.

I installed it yesterday without any problems. Just a data point. Maybe you have a firewall issue?

Interesting. How might a firewall issue help or hurt this? I see nothing in the logs for HA on this. I just tried again and got the same error. I then turned off my PiHole blocking and tried again and still get the same response.

It's been almost a year since I tried this integration and i just came back to it, because I found a workaround using Homebridge (which, if your end goal is Apple Home integration, you could try the alexa smarthome plugin).

But at some point in my reddit travels, long after I tried this- I read in a comment that the issue is your Cync password. If you have certain weird characters in your password, authentication here might fail. It was so long after I cared, that I didn't come back to try it. But I'm curious, if you feel like giving that a shot, changing your password to something more generic, if that helps. Please report back here.

Changed my password to something generic, no special characters or anything, still seeing the same "Invalid or unsupported Cync configuration, please ensure there is at least one WiFi connected Cync device in your Home(s)" error message.

I did actually get it to work, I think by getting Bluetooth finally working in my Home Assistant container.

I finally got it. I must've had the wrong password. I reset everything and now they are there

@gearhead , did you end up deleting all switches from cync app and starting new.
i reset my password, and remove CYNC integration and restart it again, but i still get the two factor error in HA.'

Actually, it's been so long ago I forget exactly what fixed it. Ok think I deleted everything to do with cync and started over with the Bluetooth provisioning.

I do seem to remember that there are 2 cync plugins and that one of them is not appropriate for the wall switches I was using.

In the end, I think I'd be better off with matter compatible switches. I have 2 cync wall switches and one has no ground wire and it seems to fall off the wifi often.
