Trying to set this up for my HOTAS joystick, script stops working shortly after starting (and working for about 10 seconds)

I dont know much about fusion scripting at all, but what I do know is that after about 10 seconds the script just simply stops working, and the camera no longer moves with stick input. It only restarts when reopening fusion. What can I do?

Update: I just figured this out, It doesn't actually break after 10 seconds, instead it breaks whenever I touch anything on my throttle. As long as I only touch the stick Its fine, but the moment I touch the throttle or any button on it the script stops working. I also cannot figure out how to zoom.

Sorry, I have no idea which joysticks your HOTAS is outputting, or what values its sending, so there's very little chance I could begin to help you debug it.

Probably what you need to do is run pygame and look at the various outputs for your joysticks, and then mess with the configuration variables:

Also, fusion loves to just randomly die when you start manipulating the screen programmatically like this script does, so I wouldn't be amazed if your hotas is just sending something that makes fusion give up.

Also also, this thing is 2 years old, I wouldn't be amazed if the fusion team managed to break some APIs (honestly with how hackily I tricked it into installing pygame, I'm amazed this works at all)
