pyproject.toml specifies python > 3.12 – is this necessary?

Thanks for your work on wgbstools!

While working on the codebase, I noticed that the pyproject.toml locks to python > 3.12. I don't believe this is commented upon in the readme. Is this necessary, and if so, may I ask what the issue with 3.12+ is for this tool?
