No discussion needed other than to share appreciation for @noiwid reviving this project. As parents, many of us are desperately grappling with the desire to keep our kids connected while still maintaining a healthy separation from the tech that surrounds us in everyday life. It is unfortunate that the tech companies don't provide better tools, but 3rd party open source projects like this close an important gap!

I've verified this integration's functionality and although the setup flow is unusual (instructions here), this gives me all the sensors and controls I want and successfully enables family link controls within Home Assistant for use in dashboards and automations.

I haven’t yet figured out how to remotely lock or unlock devices, but tracking daily screen time per device works nicely.

My son also uses a Nintendo Switch, which now has an official integration. Combining these three gives me a much clearer picture of his daily screen time (and even lets me get a phone notification when he hits his limit 😅).

I still didn't find time to integrate cards for Family Safety, but here is how it look on my dashboard :

Thank you so much for this integration @noiwid . It was the final step I was missing.

This allows me to combine phone, PS5, and Nintendo usage into one time and block everything once the total time is exceeded. No more checking devices individually.

Having a unified total screen time across devices was exactly one of my main goals as well.
After that, everyone can manage it the way that fits their needs best 😄
