Project picker not showing any project for perforce project using lazy

Hi

I started with https://github.com/nvim-lua/kickstart.nvim which uses Lazy

I have provided the project paths to the base dirs also. Please note my projects are not git projects, they are perforce projects so what I am thinking is this will treat all the files under the base dir as project files and work accordingly.

Put when i open the project picker i see this

I noted this too. This extension works with projects containing a .git dir only?
