Getting unexpected errors !!!

Hey, its me again. So, I'm getting so kind of weird errors, something like Invalid 'window':. Now, these errors are irregular in intervals so I don't have any way of reproducing it. Can you please look into it ?

I too am getting it. I've just been following this tutorial to get neovim configure:

I'm running on a apple M2 mac.

Here you can see the error pop up. It seems to be triggered by a cron or some other type of callback. (I don't know vim plugin development or the Lua Language.)

Could you post up what other plugins you have installed? I am getting this too, and I suspect it's coming from a plugin that creates a weird phantom window in the background for its own functionality that showkeys doesn't know what to do with. That would explain the intermittent occurrence.

Being able to find out what plugins we have in common would narrow it down a lot.

Which means that the only ones we have in common are conform, lazy, noice, nui, lspconfig, treesitter, plenary, render-markdown, telescope (and showkeys itself, of course!)

I'm working off a hunch that it's due to noice, because its radical changes to neovim's UI are accomplished, I presume, through unorthodox use of windows. I'll disable noice for a while and let you know if the message appears anymore, perhaps you could try the same?

The exact steps mentioned in over in the other issue reproduces this error for me, regardless of whether noice is enabled or not.

After digging down on this further, I am able to reproduce the issue with only Lazy and showkeys installed, all default settings, and excluded_modes = { "c" }. The problem flow seems to be:

• Key presses trigger Showkeys window
• A command is entered which produces a message
• A few seconds later, Showkeys throws out an error
