Explore the use of <portal> as a method of sharing MementoEmbed surrogates

This suggestion came from @ibnesayeed and is found in this older ZDNet article. Unfortunately, is not currently supported by browsers, at least as reported by Mozilla. If we can address the impermanence of JavaScript storage (#176), then we could use this functionality.
