[bugs] : Books plugin homepage display

Background:

New enhancements were recently pushed to the https://www.iastatedigitalpress.com instance of the Books plugin. The changes were in conjunction to the preprint repository feature and included reformatting books homepage displays.

Issue:

The books homepage enhancements are buggy. Below is a list of issues:

• https://www.iastatedigitalpress.com/plugins/books/59/

  • no longer includes download counts or other book webpage metrics
  • Chapters, Display chapter numbers #70
    • chapters without chapter number in the title are appended with None:
      • e.g. None: Front Matter
  • Description
    • the description Read more text only works half of the time, or only shows a certain amount more, obscuring text on the bottom of the screen.
  • Chapters scrollbar
    • The scrollbar on chapters for books with many chapters is bad, not visible enough, and unintuitive to use. Could we have a read more or just a long page instead?
  • Repository Subjects
    • The Repository Subjects show their heirarchical structure on the Subjects page, but you cannot see child subjects on their parent's Subject page
  • 

• "Linked Items" links direct back to book page.

The Repository Subjects show their heirarchical structure on the Subjects page, but you cannot see child subjects on their parent's Subject page

This isn't an accident. If you want a child to appear on a parent's structure item you need to assign it to both.

I haven't made a change at this end so it must have been unpublished at the time you took the screenshot.
