1つのAWSIM PCに複数の参加者PCを接続する方法

1. AWSIM PCと参加者PCを同じIPネットワークに接続し、互いにIP疎通することを確認する。
   a. pingなどで疎通確認する。
2. PCのcyclonedds.xmlの設定を変更する。
   a. AWSIM PCと参加者PCが接続しているIPネットワークに接続しているNICをip addressなどで特定する。
   b. そのNICの名前をcyclonedds.xmlに追記する。
3. dockerコンテナ内のcyclonedds.xmlを変更する
   a. dockerコンテナ内のcyclonedds.xmlも同様の追記が必要。

手順3について補足です（dev ac3f929、2026-09-12 に再確認済み）。

docker-compose.yml で、ホスト側のリポジトリ内 vehicle/cyclonedds.xml がコンテナの /opt/autoware/cyclonedds.xml に bind mount されています（autoware 系サービスすべて。eval 用の autoware-simulator-evaluation も同じです）。また Dockerfile で CYCLONEDDS_URI=file:///opt/autoware/cyclonedds.xml と ROS_LOCALHOST_ONLY=0 が設定済みです。

そのため、参加者PC側で行う作業は次の2点だけです。

1. リポジトリの vehicle/cyclonedds.xml に、AWSIM PC とつながっている NIC を1行追加する（lo の行は残す）

2. make autoware-simulator などでコンテナを起動し直す

コンテナに入って直接ファイルを書き換えると、docker compose down などでコンテナを作り直した時点で消えてしまうので、ホスト側の1ファイルを編集するのが確実です。

One addition to step 3 (checked on dev ac3f929, re-verified 2026-09-12).

docker-compose.yml bind-mounts the repo's vehicle/cyclonedds.xml onto /opt/autoware/cyclonedds.xml in every autoware service, including autoware-simulator-evaluation. The Dockerfile already sets CYCLONEDDS_URI=file:///opt/autoware/cyclonedds.xml and ROS_LOCALHOST_ONLY=0.

So on each participant PC you only need to:

1. add the NIC that faces the AWSIM PC to the repo's vehicle/cyclonedds.xml (keep the lo line), and
2. restart the container (e.g. make autoware-simulator).

If you edit the file inside a running container instead, the change is lost as soon as the container is recreated (docker compose down, etc.). Editing the host file is the durable way.
