Polish translation of IWD in EET

Is anyone working on translating IWD in EET mods? These mods don't support Polish language.
If no one else is going to do it, I can help with this task.

Do you plan to adding polish dubbing voices and movies by yourself ? (If they exist in polish)

Edit : They seem to be integrated in IWDEE so I can add them if you want, I am currently dealing with russian voices and movies for IWD2.

They exist in IWD1EE and IWD2. If you have the time and resources, I'd be happy to.

I tried to do it by myself and I exported sound and movie files yesterday and compared them to what's in en_US. Regarding IWD1, the WAV files were converted to OGG. I don't know the bitrate requirements for the conversion itself, so I used what I find from the English OGG files.

Regarding IWD2, I saw that only WAV files were used. So there's no conversion and the original files are used? For videos, I saw that they were converted to WEBM. And yesterday, for testing, I did this using ffmpeg.
e.g. ffmpeg -i intro.mve -c:v libvpx -b:v 1M -c:a libvorbis intro.webm

I also checked what needs to be done regarding the translation itself. IWD1 contains additional mods, and I found the translation of the UB mod in IWDEE itself. Unfortunately, Aurils Bane has never been translated into Polish.
In short, there's some work to be done, but it shouldn't take long.

Yes for IWD2 no conversion only extraction with NearInfinity.
For IWD1, I use a too complicated way and should have used the same method as IWD2 but it work fine so for know it will stay with ogg.

I have downloaded GoG polish version and will add the wav and wbm for both. Probably tomorow...
So you can concentrate on translation

PS : IWD_EET_END also have some text to translate.

@Arwern, both sounds and movies are added for IWD1 and IWD2. Tra files are in english in the meantime to allow you to install and test if the files are in order. If you can confirm that everything seem fine in Polish I will be grateful, because russian dubbing is very odd....

@abalabokhin, again an issue with russian voices... Can you confirm that it's not usual ?
With GoG IWD2 version if you want to listen the dubbing...

@11jo Polish translation of IWD1 is ready and waiting at 'pull request'. Video and sounds looks fine. Latelly I have been playing IWDEE a lot and I don't see any drop in quality.
Today I tested IWD1_EET instalation (with eetfixpack) and played through prologue. Everything works fine.

Now I will start working with IWD2. Probably it will take more time because I want to adjust item descriptions to current BGEE/IWDEE style.

Im also aware that IWD_EET_END also needs translation :)

Does the items from Heart of Fury mode from IWD2 exists in EET?

Today I started to translate item descriptions from dialog2.tra. And I found that some of these descriptions doesn't exist in compiled EET dialog.tlk. And this probably applies only items from HoF mode. Could anyone confirm this?

If yes, is there any way to get list of items whose descriptions are actually taken from dialog2.tra?

Sorry no idea, I didn't finish the french translation of the dialog2.tra yet, because it's fastidious.

I don't think there is a way to know exactly what items will be taken, without digging in the mod code.

But Tipun the author was planning to develop the mod and implement more to it, so some part not used today can be used in the futur.
He is actually not very active in modding, difficult to say when or if it will be.

As far as I know the items from HoF are not used, but I also doesn't know how to collect this items list automatically. The safest bet would be to translate everything from dialog2.tra.
