2.7 without client

First, sorry to ping you here, I didn't want to pollute A7-DlcMerger issues with unrelated but a little related stuff.

I didn't see any information about it, but maybe I missed something.

Do you think it's possible to create a patch 2.7 for Beamdog versions of BGSoD and BG2EE game ?
Do you think you can manage that without to much work ?
Do you think potential and more complicated futur updates will also be manageable ?

I understand if you think that I am very bold with my demand, but it's a pain to have to let go beamdog version and (to my knowledge) you are the more likely to make something like that.

I’m prepared for "No, I won’t do it".

Honestly, I have no idea how difficult such task would be.

Beamdog stopped updating the games through their client and offered users to move their games to other game distributors (Steam, GOG, and some more). The codes for the games are listed on the (retired) Beamdog Store website after logging in.

I'm not sure what I could do about it without any help from Beamdog's side.

Beamdog version of BGSoD as one game is like a special version comparing to the one from GOG and STEAM.

I was wondering if something could be done to patch that version or if beamdog version will not be usable anymore.

On GOG it's possible to download only a 2.7 patch, but I suppose it won't work on a native beamdog version.

I'm not sure what I could do about it without any help from Beamdog's side.

Yes, I was afraid about that, I hoped for something like DLC merger but to merge the patch on BGSoD version.

That's the nature of patch files. They expect a very specific file and folder structure of the game.

If you just don't like the pollution of the game folder with distributor-specific files, you can safely remove them all. The game itself doesn't care about them.
The same goes for the backup files after installing the DLC Merger. You can delete the disabled DLC file, the backup files and the DLC Merger entry in the WeiDU.log if you don't plan to revert the merge operation.
