Poll Discussion: Should We Remove the Outdated Icons Folder?

To improve repository organisation and reduce maintenance overhead, there’s some thought to remove the 4_Outdated folder (link) This folder currently contains older versions of icons and icons for services that no longer exist.

Current Process:

• Maintainers and contributors must manually move older icons to the 4_Outdated folder when updating or replacing them.
• This adds extra steps to every icon update or addition, especially for brands and services that frequently change their logos or designs.

Key Questions for Discussion:

• How do we define when an icon is "outdated enough" to be removed entirely, rather than moved to the 4_Outdated folder?
• Should we keep a limited set of truly outdated icons (e.g., for historical reference), or remove the folder entirely to simplify maintenance?
• What are the pros and cons of removing this folder for contributors, maintainers, and end-users?

Goal:
Streamline the repository by reducing unnecessary complexity, while ensuring we don’t lose valuable historical context or break existing integrations.

I voted for "yes".

Reason why I even started moving old icons to "outdated" instead of just replacing, was that some people might refer old logos and project was much smaller scope back in the day.

But now that project is much larger to maintain, I feel like "outdated" icons are more burden then ever. Some people might be disappointed that they can't get old icons easily anymore after this decision, but since we are using git, they can instead get them via commit links.

Ok so this has been left up for 2 days and as most people are leaning towards removing the outdated icons, this is exactly the way I am inclining due to keeping things as simple as possible as well as up to date.
