• Started playing with the idea in the new year holidays
• In the first version bindings are all in C++, extremely verbose

February~March

• Reboot the project in the Chinese new year holidays
• Share the first version at EEF ML working group meetup
• Rewrite using otto to call MLIR C API, found it is a good idea
• Start playing with LibFFI in Rust, and implement Exotic (was called Ferret in the beginning)
• Rewrite using Exotic to call MLIR C API

April

• Merge all MLIR-Elixir and Exotic into one umbrella project MET (MLIR Elixir toolkit). This leads to great productivity boost
• Rename Ferret to Exotic and flesh out APIs for functions, structs, C function callback. Also migrate from hand written C API calls to auto generation using C headers.

May

• Start playing with PDL with the belief that PDL might be the last missing piece for the low level features.

June

• Merge all apps into one
• Support concrete Op
• Higher level walker
• Stable and feature-rich enough to run in Livebook

July~August

• Replace Rust-based MLIR C API binding with Zig-based one
• Refactor legacy implementations and adding new APIs leveraging Zig's special features.
