Oxygen is still very much under active development, just yesterday I added initial support for end2end mapmaking for example. On the other hand, a lot of the features are stable enough that they can be used, and have been used so far in one small competition. This was however many months ago, so I would not currently recommend using it without doing full testing first. From an architectural perspective, oxygen is created to allow hosting events at o-ringen scale, without any performance issues. And it's created to gracefully handle longer periods without connectivity. I activated Discussions under the oxygen repository, I haven't used that before, but I think that might be a good place to start sharing experiences around the usage of oxygen. There are features that are currently lacking, like forking, speaker support etc. None of this is hard to add, I just haven't needed them so far. But any feature requests and especially bug reports are very welcome, I will happily resolve any issues. My club is currently in a period of not doing any major competitions, due to us being one of the clubs hosting o-ringen next year, so unfortunately there will not be any upcoming real competitions where I get to try out oxygen this fall. There will be one competition this winter that we'll host, where oxygen will be used (Vinterserien). |
