Contributor applications are now officially open for Google Summer of Code 2025!

🚨 Please note: We can not accept any applications that come to us outside of the official GSoC channel.

As always, we are happy to answer specific questions about our suggested projects, or project ideas, but out of fairness we will not be able to review and give feedback on applications or CVs sent to us. We appreciate your understanding!

Best practice for contributors interested in applying:

• When it comes to general community contributions: We always advise quality over quantity. Pick an issue that you feel comfortable with technically, and see it through to completion at a good standard.
• Pay close attention to the project ideas page, particularly the length of the project and the skills, so that your application is as closely aligned as possible to the criteria!
• We would recommend reading the GSoC 'Writing a Proposal' guide page.
