Help setting up nginx proxy manager

Hello, I am trying to ditch authentik for voidauth, however I am unable to setup nginx proxy manager to use voidauth for authentication. Any help would be very much appreciated.🙏

Hello! I just got around to updating the ProxyAuth docs with info on how to set up VoidAuth with NGINX and NGINX Proxy Manager, and also fixed a bug that may have been preventing it from working before 🙈 Make sure you have the latest release by doing something like docker compose pull voidauth and then docker compose up -d voidauth, and please let me know if you run into any issues or would like any help 😊

Yes, it happens only 'behind' VoidAuth. I expect it might be that VoidAuth and the app are using separate certs. I'm trying to follow best practice of a separate cert for each subdomain.

Interesting, can you update the Advanced tab input of your protected app to the following simplified setup? It might shed light on where the problem is. If it works (your app will not be protected yet), you could try adding lines back in from the docs example from the top of the Advanced input down until it stops working:

location / {
  proxy_pass $forward_scheme://$server:$port;
}

for reference, the original should look something like this example from the docs:

include /config/nginx/snippets/auth-location.conf;

location / {
  include /config/nginx/snippets/proxy.conf;
  # If your protected app uses websockets, un-comment the line below
  # include /config/nginx/snippets/websockets.conf;

  # This snippet actually protects your app
  include /config/nginx/snippets/proxy-auth.conf;

}

Everything works right up until I include proxy-auth.conf

Sorted it out. In auth-location.conf the line "proxy_pass http://voidauth:3000/api/authz/auth-request;"...... I'd somehow made that https.
