Image generated with to much random noise

I have been using nvisii to generate datasets to train deep learning models like DOPE.
Clear image:

Sometimes when I run the program without changing the code the following happens:

How can I solve this?
Is this normal when generating data this way?

I have been having the same problem when updating the NVIDIA drivers. We would need to update nvisii. I am not sure Nate is planning to keep it up to date. I would recommend to use older NVIDIA drivers the one the read me mentions.

Some OptiX denoiser bug with newer drivers. I’m not sure what the cause is. First step is to probably ask someone over there.

To make this project sustainable, we probably need to move the backend to my current Vulkan framework, GPRT.

Then we could also tap into differentiable slang and do some inverse rendering too.

My day to day work is there and in Falcor, so it’s easier to justify.

At the moment there are some big ticket projects in NVIDIA architecture that will have me busy until sometime around January of next year.

They’re important, so I need to prioritize those.

But now that I’m back at NVIDIA, I should eventually be able to pick this project back up.

In my opinion this tool has a lot of potential, but with this problem people will probably start using other tools like blender

Blender is an amazing tool. I ended up moving a lot of the scripts we use to it. So it would not be a waste a time. But the material model for blender is not simple to handle like we have in nvisii. Thank you for the kind words!!

I had the same issue with extremely noisy images using the current build of NVISII:

However, by disabling denoising (with the --noise command-line argument) and motion blur (with the command-line parameter --motionblur) I was able to generate clean images:

Could you provide more details or codes? I've no idea where to pass these configs. :(

I have changed this code by myself, and you can also check the script by running the -h flag to see the args you need to pass in the original code.
