Timeouts for Jenkins Builds

In Jenkins, there is a plugin for killing a build and sending a notification after a certain time. This would be incredibly useful if Stashbot could incorporate this plugin and make it so that you can automatically kill builds. It should just be a configuration option and change to the velocity templates.

That's a good feature request. For now, the workaround is to just put a timeout in a shell script which you run via stashbot:

Using the techniques here, you can cause the build to fail after a timeout (and more importantly, the duration of that timeout is "self-service", a developer can edit/change it in the source code if you check in the script).

The advantage of what you are suggesting is that we could send a notification which indicates it failed because of timeout, not other failures, which might be useful information for people to have.

(as a side note, if I was going to do this I'd probably try to add custom template support - because then you could enable the plugin, look at the XML, and use that to add a job template that used the plugin - but it would also get you lots of other features too)
