Configurable redstone behaviour

It would be nice to be able to adjust the redstone behaviour of the tools (like in Thermal Expansion).

Just to clarify your suggestion, you are thinking of the redstone activation configuration in TE where you can set a machine to ignore redstone, require redstone off to function, or require redstone on to function? And I'm assuming when you say "tools" you mean the various machines, because the only tools added by APM are the upgrade toolkit and it doesn't interact with redstone at all.

We have been discussing adding some of the TE-like configuration options to machines where it makes sense but haven't started on it yet.

Adding to this that Redstone in 1.5x has multiple levels of signal. That might be useful to consider when enhancing redstone control.
