Ajax error when removing images via Quick Edit

"when you click remove nothing happens but a quick flash of preloader spinning wheel"

This can be seen in Bartik and Bootstrap.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create content with a title and image.
2. Use the Quick Edit feature from the cog or pencil on the themed content page
3. Try to remove the image

I created a site at Digital Ocean using a standard D8 One click app on Ubuntu and the same thing happened so the issue may need to be moved to the community:
