Maybe you have some sort of Baseline that helps to use this tool on an existing database. Like Flyway baseline.

Its an interesting idea. I think currently nothing really prevents you from starting to use migrations based on what you have but without the baseline feature, I agree that you would not be able to generate the existing structure from scratch unless you manually mess with the schema_migration table.
