Hi Simon, thanks for Agent Flow. I opened this issue because I’d love to use it with OpenCode as well.
Is opencode on your roadmap, or would you be open to accepting a PR for it? If there’s a preferred way to expose runtime support or event hooks, I’m happy to help test or contribute details.

OpenCode support plan

I think Agent Flow could support OpenCode with a small runtime adapter, without changing the visualization layer much.

1. Add a new runtime mode: opencode.
2. Implement extension/src/opencode-runtime.ts similar to the existing codex-runtime.ts.
3. Make it watch OpenCode’s session/log output directory, ideally through JSONL or rollout files if OpenCode exposes them.
4. Translate OpenCode events into Agent Flow’s existing internal event model, so the UI does not need OpenCode-specific logic.
5. Add opencode to agentVisualizer.runtime and wire it into extension/src/extension.ts alongside claude and codex.
6. If OpenCode supports hooks/webhooks, add a setup step similar to scripts/setup.js; if not, file tailing should still work for a first version.
7. Keep the UI unchanged except for labeling sessions as opencode.
   Why this seems feasible:

• Agent Flow already separates runtime adapters from the visualization layer.
• It already supports JSONL event logs, which makes a file-based integration realistic.
• The smallest viable path is a read-only adapter, not a rewrite.
  If you’re open to it, I’d be happy to test or help sketch the OpenCode adapter details.

Finally, I think that adding OpenCode support could open Agent Flow to a much wider audience and bring in more contributors, more visibility, and more stars. The architecture already looks modular enough that this could be a clean extension rather than a rewrite, and even a first simple adapter would make the project immediately useful to a new group of users. If the OpenCode community can plug in, they can also help improve the integration over time.
