Since 2022, a lot has changed in the Python ecosystem, and I think it would be great to keep the book updated because it is genuinely fun and useful to read.
One tool that made a huge difference for me in my research projects is uv. It significantly reduced setup and dependency management time, while also making Python environments easier to understand and maintain.
I think many other researchers would benefit from learning about it as well, especially in the context of modern scientific Python workflows.
